Product Description

A High Head Drainage Pump is a type of pump designed to move liquids with a high elevation change (head). The “head” refers to the height that a pump can raise the fluid, and high-head pumps are typically used in systems that require pushing water or other liquids to greater heights or over longer distances, such as in municipal water systems, industrial processes, irrigation systems, or water treatment plants.

Performance:

  • Head refers to the height the pump can move the water vertically.
  • High Head pumps generate more pressure to overcome gravitational forces and are generally suitable for applications requiring water to be lifted over significant elevations.

Applications:

  • Construction sites, mines, or industrial areas where water must be pumped to higher ground or into storage tanks located at higher elevations.
  • Often used in flood control or water management systems.

Characteristics:

  • Higher pressure.
  • Designed for less water flow compared to high-flow pumps.
  • Ideal for vertical lift operations.
